I had the incredible opportunity to intern at Cadoret Global during the summer, an experience that significantly shaped my academic and career trajectory. Learning about regulatory processes within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry was very interesting and enlightening. It was this internship and the in depth weekly lessons that ignited my passion and steered my towards pursuing advanced studies in biotechnology.

...[the] favorite thing I learned was the manufacturing and quality of drugs. Prior to leanring about this topic, I didn't know how intricate the process was. My mind was filled with many misconceptions regarding drug manufacturing and going through the content that was provided for me, I was able to debunk those misconceptions.

My internship with Cadoret Global provided valuable insights into the importance of robust quality systems in relation to GxPs. Seeing the real-world consequences of a lack of such systems, such as the promotion of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and life-threatening issues arising from compounding pharmacies, highlights the critical role that quality systems play in ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products. Weekly discussions and presentations during the internship helped in further explaining the practical application of the quality management system and its importance.
